Fur and Fire - Jude Kusnierz and Tricia Stevens celebrated life as a LEO on Saturday night at the Beaumont Studios with magicians, tarot card readers, artists, a rad DJ, a kissing booth and more.

No comments18th Annual Easter Seals Regatta & Festival
On Saturday, August 23rd, the National Bank Financial Easter Seals Regatta & Festival kicked off in English Bay.
Over a dozen skippers signed up to compete for top prize in the pursuit formatted race which inlcuded a staggered start based on a boat’s handicap. This year’s race went by relatively quickly, with ample wind power to move the boats through the course.
After the race concluded, skippers, crews, media, guests and the public gathered at Hastings Mill Park on Point Grey Road next to the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club for food, entertainment, a silent auction, beer gardens and more. Find out more about the Easter Seals Regatta, on their website, HERE.

On Friday night, Giles Panton and Julie West put on a Dodgeball-themed Party at the SHOP on Powell Street to raise funds for the upcoming production, ‘Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me.’
With members from the Matrix, french maids, frisky hobos, pirates and more, there was never a dull moment.
Panton, along with partners, Michael Karl Richards and Robin Nielsen, plan on launching their premiere performance in October at the Havana Theatre on Commercial Drive. Keep tuned to the Urban MIxer Events Calendar, HERE, for more information on what’s hot in Vancouver.

DJ Dove from NYC returned to Vancouver on Thursday night to rock the OPUS Bar as part of ‘the List’ series of VIP and invite-only events.

Hard Supper No 8. Eat Hard. Drink Hard. Scotty Hard. Scotty was paralyzed in a car accident in mid-February coming home from a late night mixing session. Friends and diners have been uniting since to help Scotty out.
On Thursday evening, Vicky Gabareau and Tom Rowe opened their doors to their Horsehoe Bay home for Hard Supper No. 8. Warren Geraghty, Executive Chef of West, cooked, man in motion, Rick Hansen, gave a speech at the dinner in support, Simon Kendall, formerly of Doug and the Slugs, supplied the music and West Restaurant’s top mixologist, David Wolowidnyk, the current Grey Goose Arbiter of Cool title holder, poured the drinks. The $300-a-couple dinner was limited to 20 diners and sold out almost immediately.

Ray Signorello Jr. and partners launched a new wine brand, FUSE, on Thursday afternoon at LIFT in Coal Harbour.
With amazing weather and a great view, partners Thomas O’Neill, Jim Beadle, Ray Signorello Jr. Gregory Karamanian and Denny Hop couldn’t have picked a better day or location for the exclusive launch of their new wine brand.
FUSE is the union of two powerful varietals, Cabernet Sauvignon + Syrah and similarly to other products launched by the winemaker, namely Signorello and Edge, is produced by Napa Valley’s finest vineyards.
